DESCRIPTION:Join us to gain the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to effectively investigate workplace incidents. This course explores how to identify contributing factors and root causes\, collect evidence\, conduct interviews\, and implement corrective actions to prevent similar incidents in the future. \nWhy take this course? \nThis Incident Investigation course is ideal for JOHSC members\, supervisors\, and managers who are responsible for responding to workplace incidents as part of a broader health and safety program. Whether you’re new to the role or looking to deepen your expertise\, this course will help you: \n\nRespond confidently and effectively to workplace incidents\nIdentify and analyze root causes and contributing factors\nConduct trauma-informed interviews\nDocument findings clearly and accurately\nRecommend and implement meaningful corrective actions\n\nLearning Objectives \nBy the end of this course\, participants will be able to: \n\nFollow a workplace incident investigation policy and procedures\nDefine roles and responsibilities in an investigation\nDemonstrate the six steps of an effective incident investigation\nComplete and use incident investigation templates (e.g.\, EIIR)\nAnalyze root causes and document results\nRecommend appropriate corrective actions\nUnderstand and apply Trauma and Violence-Informed Approaches in interviews\n\nCourse Length: 6 hours \nCourse certificate is provided through CSSHSA Learning Centre. \nCancellation and Rebooking Policy \nIf you are unable to attend the course\, please provide at least five (5) business days’ notice prior to the course date to receive a full refund or rebook at no additional cost. \nCancellations must be submitted by email to training@csshsa.ca. \nImportant Note: A minimum of 8 participants is required for the training to proceed.
