DESCRIPTION:Join us for an engaging Community of Practice meeting focused on Violence Prevention in the community social services sector. This session will provide a collaborative space for professionals to share and reflect on their current approaches to preventing and managing the risk of workplace violence. \nGuided by CSSHSA Advisors\, participants will share organizational approaches to preventing and responding to workplace violence. Through facilitated discussions and peer exchange\, we will have conversations on the key components of effective violence prevention programs and policies\, methods for identifying and assessing the risk of violence\, and training approaches that help prepare workers to recognize\, prevent\, and respond to violent situations\, whether physical or verbal. \nAt the end of the session\, we’ll reconvene to share key themes and takeaways\, and discuss next steps for continued collaboration and strengthening violence prevention efforts across the sector.
