Community of Practice: Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committees (JOHSCs) in Social Services – June 23

Join us for an engaging Community of Practice meeting focused on Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee (JOHSC) effectiveness in the social services sector. This session will provide a collaborative space for professionals to share and reflect on their current approaches to supporting JOHSC participation, collaboration, and workplace health and safety outcomes.
Guided by CSSHSA Advisors, participants will explore what JOHSC practices looks like within their organizations, discuss common challenges committees face, and examine strategies for improving engagement. Through facilitated discussions and peer exchange, we will identify successful approaches, share practical solutions, and uncover emerging trends related to JOHSCs in the sector.
At the end of the session, we’ll reconvene to share key themes and takeaways, and discuss next steps for continued collaboration and improvement in JOHSC across the sector. Whether you are establishing a new committee, reviewing current practices, or enhancing the effectiveness of your JOHSC, this meeting is designed to support you with practical insights, shared learning, and fresh perspectives from peers to help strengthen health and safety collaboration within your organization.
