Community of Practice: Violence Prevention in Community Social Services – August 25

Join us for an engaging Community of Practice meeting focused on Violence Prevention in the community social services sector. This session will provide a collaborative space for professionals to share and reflect on their current approaches to preventing and managing the risk of workplace violence.
Guided by CSSHSA Advisors, participants will share organizational approaches to preventing and responding to workplace violence. Through facilitated discussions and peer exchange, we will have conversations on the key components of effective violence prevention programs and policies, methods for identifying and assessing the risk of violence, and training apporaches that help prepare workers to recognize, prevent, and respond to violent situations, whether physical or verbal.
At the end of the session, we’ll reconvene to share key themes and takeaways, and discuss the next steps for continued collaboration and strengthening violence prevention efforts across the sector. Whether you are developing, reviewing, or enhancing your violence prevention practices, this meeting is designed to provide practical insights, shared learning, and fresh perspectives from peers to help strengthen your apporach to violence risk assessment, prevention, resposne, and oragnizational support.
